December Ipsy Bag

Overall I'm impressed with this month's Ipsy bag.  I actually loveeeeedddddd the bag, but a lot of people on the website were complaining about how it wasn't festive.  Well I think it's festive and sleek and gorgeous.  It's shiny, black, with a diamond print and lined with red fabric.  I think this bag is great because if you carry a higher end bag, you wouldn't be embarssed pulling this one out for whatever reason.  Love it.

I also love the products--the cologne and perfume sample were very large vials--you can def get some use out of this.  I find it odd that the sample had a men's cologne too, but maybe that's just because I don't have a man. LOLOLOL. I think I got my money's worth this month, and my favorite item would probably be the Bombshell multiple stick--I posted a swatch of it and the lipstick below.  Sooooo pretty ladies!

December's Ipsy bag:
*Signature by English Laundry perfume and cologne sample
*Bombshell Multiple Stick in Flustered
*Nicka K nail polish in a red shade (no  name on the bottle anywhere--weird)
*POP eyeshadow trio
*NYX Round Lipstick in Baby Pink

MAC Heroine ADDED TO THE PERMANENT LINE!

Hi guys! MAC's bright purple matte Heroine lipstick is a cult favorite.  Every time MAC launches it in some collection or limited release it sells out like nothing.  No worries if you haven't got one in your collection! MAC announced that this popular shade will be added to the permanent line and will be available online late December and in stores early January.  Snag one!

My Sephora VIB Haul

So I purchased a few different items during Sephora's VIB sale. I'm just goo to post some pics below. I'm not going to go into details because I'm still 'reviewing' them. I will say that I'm loving the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette and the NARS lip pencils.

I'm slightly disappointed at the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil-- but maybe I'm not using it right.

Tarte's Friends & Family Sale

Tarte extended their F&F sale and today is the last day! Use the code 'DECFF' at checkout. And shipping is always free if you spend $40 or more. Check it out and snag some blush ladies!

Colored Raine Haul

So on Black Friday Coloured Raine had a really good 30% off sale. I had been eyeing their lippies for a whole, and I had a little change in my Paypal account, so I decided to to give some a try. I picked up three colors, and I've decided to give my overall opinion of the lipsticks.

I will start by saying that this is a really popular brand among make up artists and its a small business, so it isn't going to be as cheap as drug store lipstick and maybe not the quality of higher end lipstick.

These lipsticks retail at $14, so a little cheaper than Mac and a little more than the drugstore brands. With that being said, my overall thoughts are this:

  1. The color range is the bomb. These lipsticks come in bold colors and neutral colors. I honestly love every single shade offered by CR.
  2. The quality is also impressive as it relates to color opaqueness  I can't say how long they last, because I haven't worn these for more than minutes at a time. They are non-drying and semi-hydrating in fact.
  3. The price isn't horrible I don't find it's bad, especially since I got a good deal, I paid about $9.30 for each one.
  4. I have to admit I'm slightly disappointed with the packaging. It's beautiful, it just feels soooooo light to me. But maybe because I'm used to MAC, which is heavy. One people might like this feature though.
  5. Lastly, the smell wasn't bad but it wasn't pleasant. It was slightly reminiscent of hair store lipstick. But that's no biggie.
Overall, I'd purchase these lipsticks again. The colors are bold and fun, the price is good, and I LOVE CR's social media page! The owner seems like such a delightful person!

Check out the pics below. I got three lippies, Socialite, Plum Fairy and Stalker.

MAC's Black Friday LE Hautecore Lipstick

So, on Black Friday MAC released a matte black lipstick for sale. Only available for that day, and it sold out quickly. Fortunately I was able to snag one!! Too bad it didn't come out sooner since I had just ordered a black lippie from Make Up Forever. But I still bought this one because the MUFE didn't really have a matte finish IMO.

Anywho, if you missed out, don't feel bad.  This lippie will be rereleased in MAC's Punk Coutoure collection, set to be released December 26th. Don't miss out! I'm going to do a post on that collection this weekend too.

Check out the pics below. I know black lipstick isn't for everyone, but don't knock it until you've tried it lol. Black can be worn alone, but it also looks great when coupled with other lipstick shades too. It's just a lot of fun!

Riri Hearts MAC Holiday: Pleasure Bomb and Bad Girl Riri

Hi guys! As most of you probably already know, MAC released Rihanna's final collection online last week and in stores yesterday. I only picked up the Pleasure Bomb and Bad Girl Riri lipsticks. I have to admit that these are two gorgeous lipsticks. Outside of Heaux, these two are my faves. I've seen Pleasure Bomb dupes on the Internet, but Bad Girl Riri looks far less durable. Check out the pics below! I hope you guys were able to get these!

Sorry for the Lack of Posts!

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts, things have been super crazy lately AND my computer is on the fritz! I've got like ten posts/products to review that I need to get up here, and I will be doing that over the next week or so.  Plus, my daughter's bday party was yesterday and now that it's done, I've got more free time.  Things have also been super hectic with my (day) job, so I'm slammed there as well.  Anywho, keep checking in this week for new posts!!

My Haul from MAC's Divine Night Collection

This collection was pretty large, but I'm on no spend so I only picked up these three lipsticks. The other two lipsticks were just not for me, so I passed.  I'm learning (slowly) that if it isn't for me, or I won't wear it, to leave it behind.  This collection is available online and in stores, and I'm not sure if everything is still available.  I'm certain Private Party (lipstick) is all sold out, but the other shades are still available.

The collection features "special" packaging.  Read: packaging we're going to charge you more for.  So while MAC lipsticks are normally $15, these are $16.50 because of the 'special' packaging.

Urban Decay F&F Haul

Here are the (only) two items I picked up during last week's Urban Decay  friends and family sale. I picked up the new revolution lipstick in 'shame' and the Vice 2 eyeshadow palette. The palette also comes with a dual sided eyeshadow brush.  It's an okay brush, but I personally don't think it's as nice as the brush in the Naked 2 palette.  I also got a free sample of the zero eyeliner pencil. It's black, but not as black as perversion, my favorite.  Check out the pics below!

October's Ipsy Bag

Here are this month's products:
This month's Ipsy bag (the bag itself) was adorable! Love it!! Anywho, in this month's bag I got a full sized Zoya nail polish, in a gorgeous sparkly purple color (Mason).  I also got a medium eyeshadow brush by Coastal Scents.  There was also a sample of La Fresh face oil-free face cleanser wipes.  There was also a sample of Bella Terra Mineral Cosmetics color in Navy.  Lastly, and last for a reason, a sample of StyleSexyHair's Spray Clay. I put this last because I, personally, am not a fan of hair products.  Ipsy could totally remove hair products from my packages and I'd be completely okay with that.  This is the second (out of four bags total) hair product I've received, and like the other, this is likely to go unused.

Ultra Haul: Bare Minerals

Hi guys! I've been meaning to post this for a few days now.  I went to Ulta Saturday and their "steal of the day" was Bare Minerals blush and all over face color.  These normally retail at $19, but for the "steal" were priced at $10.  I went in and swatched a few, as I've never owned or used any Bare Minerals blush or face color. Anywho, the only blush that stood out as something I did not own was secret.  It's a really pretty, soft baby pink.  And everyone needs a baby pink blush.  My former MAC baby pink blush is in crumbles somewhere, so this was a good time to replace it.  Next, I picked up Vintage Peach.  It's a really pretty soft peach with some shimmer.  I almost did not get it because it does seem super similar to some blushes I already own, since I'm more of a peachy blush kind of girl. After going back and forth, I decided to get it.  Arguably, it's not much more $$ than a drugstore blush, and I did like how "soft" it felt.  Lastly, I picked up True, an all over face color.  The all over face color can be used anywhere, eyes, cheek, nose, chin, etc.  Again, this was a color I debated about because it was soooooo shimmery/glittery, I could not fathom using it as a blush.  The only thing that kept me thinking about purchasing was the fact that it has this iridescent element to it, that the pictures don't quite pick up.  I think this could be used over your eyeshadow, no matter what color, for greater emphasis and pop.  I also think it will be great as a highlight.  So I caved and got this one too, lol.  My only complaint (not having actually used these items) is that it seems that these loose powder blushes are a bit wasteful.  For example, you have to open it, tap it, etc, to get the product out.  It is a bit more work than using a compact powder blush, and I would imagine application takes a bit more attention to detail as well, to get even and flawless color.  Anywho, I'm going to try these out this weekend!!
