Suggestions for a Good Topcoat???

Okay, so I just did my nails yesterday.  Twenty four hours ago.  And this is what they look like now (the other hand as well).  Typically I don't use a top coat on my nails because I've found that it makes them super thick and doesn't really aid in the polish lasting any longer.  Well yesterday I decided to re-ignite my past love of top coats, and this is what my nails look like.  It's not that the polish is even chipping, but it is peeling, like you could literally lift a corner up and peel it off, with ease.  I've done this polish look before with no top coat, and it gave me 3 days worth of wear.  This here, I'm probably going to redo tonight.

So, that leaves me with asking you guys, any suggestions for a good top coat? One that won't cause my nail polish to peel, help prolong the polish wear, or make them "bumpy" after application? PLEASE comment below! LOL.  Whoever finds me one that works well, I've got a polish giveaway for you!!  FYI-I used Finger Paints top coat for these nails.

Thanks :)

NOTD: Nail of the Day

Hi Guys, here's today's nail of the day! Excuse the extra short length of my nails...I've been breaking them left and right, down to the nub, so I decided to just cut all of them down to the same length, and grow them back out together.  I'm also thinking about changing my natural nail shape from round to square.  I'm starting to like the way it looks, so my nails also have an awkward shape right now.  Anywho, for the colors I used China Glaze's Electric Beat (the blue) and the glitter is OPI's Polka.Com (polka dot com).

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Urban Decay "Vintage" 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Deviant

In case you were unaware, Urban Decay recently reformulated it's old 24/7 glide on pencils with a new, creamier formula and new colors.  While some colors remain, Urban Decay launched "new" colors that would replace the old colors.  Long story short, in an attempt to get rid of all these "older" pencils, they are marked down to $9.50 at Sephora and Urban Decay online.  This is more than half the original selling price of $19, so if you've never tried the pencils out and would like to, I suggest picking up one of the marked down ones.  I think they may not be exactly like the "new" formula, but they are definitely a great pencil.  And the ones that are left are in fun shades!  There are currently six shades available at Sephora (Ransom-bright iridescent purple, Grafitti-bright green with silver sparkle, El Dorodo-gold, Lucky-deep copper, Lust-purple, Deviant-electric blue) and Urban Decay (1999-plum w/gold glitter, Binge-navy blue, Covet-peacock green, Crash-deep plum with silver sparkle, El Dorado, Deviant, Flipside-bright teal and  Grafitti).

I picked up a Deviant from Sephohra when I picked up the Lorac Pro Palette. Again, these are fun colors, and a great purchase for those of you who would never pay $19 for a bright green or blue eyeliner!! I will say though, that if you aren't a fan of glitter, I'd be wary of these because Urban Decay's old everything was super glittery.

MAC and ULTA Haul

Picked up a couple things this week, nothing much.  Got my MAC order in the mail yesterday and today I picked up a couple of things from Ulta.  Below is a list of what I picked out, and there are pics further down.   The MAC blush I picked up to use for contouring.  I'm not really great at contouring, especially with liquid.  I've read that Blunt is a favorite in the contouring world because its a matte brown, with no shimmer.  Perfect for a good contour.  Now since my skin is tan, it isn't going to be as "sharp" of a contour, but i'm only looking for something slight anyway, and I think Blunt will be perfect.  Also, I'm trying to get back into liquid eyeliner, and I haven't had a fluidline in ages! Fluidline is great because its formula is forgiving and a bit easier to apply than regular liquid eyeliner.  Blacktrack is very black, and as soon as I use it in a look I will post an updated picture.  I did not want to swatch it today.

NYX and Almay was on sale at Ulta, so that's why I picked up a couple of things (none of which I really needed lol).  I also picked up another "Chic Red" lipstick for my cousin, and my daughter picked out a  NYX 507 lipstick (for her cat--which is a purse). LOL!

MAC:
*Powder Blush in Blunt (a warm matte brown)
*Fluidline in Blacktrack (ultra smooth black gel eyeliner)

ULTA:
*Almay Liquid Lip Balm 800-Rosy Lipped
*Almay Liquid Lip Balm 400-Lilac Love
*NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cobalt
*NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Purple Velvet
*NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Black
*NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Purple

**Disclaimer: Excuse my squiggly lines on the eyeliner pic.  I was swatching with my left hand and clearly I'm not good at being lefthanded lol.**

NOTD: Nail of the Day

I used China Glaze's 'For Audrey' today. It's a really pretty blue...some would say it is sort of a Tiffany blue. Get it? For Audrey is the name of the color...Audrey...Audrey Hepburn...Breakfast at Tiffany's. Lol...it took me a while to catch that.  Don't judge my nail design lol. I know it's basic but I've got to get back in the swing of things. My designs will (hopefully) get better with practice.
